As I was reading these articles I found them very interesting. I agree and disagree with the school and courts decisions. I feel that the photos should not have been taken and that it was very inappropriate. However I do feel that if someone is not sharing, taking, or bringing up the photos at school then it does not concern the school. The girls did not bring the photos to school; it was a parent who brought them into the school.

I do not agree with what the students did but a lot of social media is to blame for that. All you see on magazines or online are photos of girls and it is not taken as seriously anymore. Some people do not see an issue with photos of this nature, I however do. But I do not think that the girls should have been punished so harshly. People make mistakes and if the other teammates of their volleyball team felt pressured by these photos then that is not the fault of someone else. The same way if a 3 people get the same haircut and the other girls feel like they need to cut their hair also it does not mean they need to, it is their decision to want it.
This is a hard case but I strongly believe if the incidents were not occurring at school or if the girls did not bring them into the school environment then it is their own personal business. A lot of times wives or girlfriends will do special photos for their significant other but should they lose their job for that? What makes it fair that just because they are in school means that they are not allowed to have privacy.
Don’t get me wrong though, these students were 100% out of line but things happen and to have everything ripped away just seemed really harsh and should have been a parental punishment not the school districts.
